RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT

Innovating with method and vision

The Research & Development department is the strategic heart of Libra, where chemical, physical and design skills come together to generate concrete value. We collaborate with customers to create exclusive items, developed through co-design and shared planning, analyzing fashion system trends and specific needs. We work on the evolution of processes: from reducing environmental impact to introducing safer and more sustainable solutions (e.g. chromium-free cycles, use of innovative agents).

QUALITY ASSURANCE

Chemical-physical tests

We have an internal laboratory to perform fundamental chemical-physical tests, supported by analyzes carried out by certified third parties. We measure tensile strength, abrasion, water permeability, reaction to chemicals and the presence of VOCs (volatile compounds) to ensure healthiness and compliance. In addition, we use extractors, resistance benches, climate units and other devices to simulate real conditions and measure the performance of leathers.
